The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys transactional accounting but is also keen to gain broader exposure to month-end accounting and financial reporting, with a view for further career development in financial reporting


About you

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable: Manage the end-to-end AP function, including invoices, approvals, vendor reconciliations, coding and high-volume transaction processing.
  • Banking & Payments: Manage domestic and international banking, payment processing, bank reconciliations and transaction postings.
  • Corporate Cards & Expenses: Oversee corporate card transactions and staff expense reimbursements, ensuring compliance with policies, approvals and controls.
  • Month-End Reporting: Support month-end close through journals, payroll-related reconciliations, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Payroll Support: Provide backup and leave cover for group payroll, ensuring accurate, timely and confidential payroll processing.
  • Finance Operations & Controls: Maintain accurate financial records and workpapers, support process improvements and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant financial operations.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience in a similar accounts payable or accounts-related role, operating independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with vendor reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with an accounting or accounts payable system (NetSuite, Lightyear, and Expensify are highly regarded).
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet compliance deadlines. 
  • Proven intention to complete an accounting or finance qualification.
