Position:
The Assistant Accountant reports into the Finance Manager and is an integral member of the team, the team is responsible for providing financial, commercial and administrative support to Senior Management.
This role will suit either someone studying their final year or qualified with a minimum 2 years experience in a hands on finance role within a complex or project based organisation. You will need to have strong excel skills, high level stakeholder engagement and be able to drive continuous improve within the business processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Support progress claims by providing necessary documentation, issuing invoices, and following up on overdue claims.
- Post revenue accrual journals and assist with comprehensive month-end reporting tasks.
- Facilitate system migration to a new database, ensuring smooth transitions and data integrity.
- Manage bank reconciliations for Acciona Plant & Equipment.
- Generate and deliver ad-hoc reports, contributing to various financial and operational analyse.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Prepayment Journals, Depreciation, Asset Disposals etc,
- Back Up for Procurement/AP
Required Skills and Competencies
- Tertiary qualified in relevant field or completing your studies
- Minimum 2-year experience in a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, with experience managing multiple data files.
- Experience using SAP an advantage but not required.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to work with complex data and systems, delivering clear and actionable insights.
