This is an opportunity to help shape and scale a high-performing Reporting & Compliance function at Airtasker. You’ll play a hands-on role in improving our accounts payable processes, strengthening financial controls, and building the infrastructure needed to support our global growth - all while ensuring our financial reporting is accurate, timely, and genuinely insightful.

What you'll do:
  • Own the end-to-end accounts payable process - from invoice processing and approvals through to payments

  • Run weekly multi-currency payment cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Keep vendor accounts clean and up to date by reconciling statements and resolving issues quickly

  • Build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, acting as a go-to for queries

  • Support financial reporting by contributing to cash flow forecasting, ageing reports, and month-end close

  • Help prepare financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Analyse variances and provide insights into financial performance

  • Play a role in tax and statutory compliance activities

  • Continuously look for ways to streamline processes and improve how AP operates across the business

  • A degree in Accounting (or similar), with a solid understanding of core accounting principles

  • Experience supporting month-end, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with NetSuite is a bonus

  • A collaborative approach with a clear sense of ownership and accountability

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

  • Confident communicator who can build relationships across teams

  • Quick to learn new systems, tools, and ways of working
