As an Assistant Category Manager, you’ll help drive the commercial performance of a category across some of Australia’s best-known retail brands. Working closely with a Category Manager, you’ll use customer and market insights to shape promotions, support category strategy, build supplier partnerships and deliver strong sales and profit outcomes.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Help shape and deliver category and promotional strategies
- Use customer, shopper and market insights to identify growth opportunities
- Drive category sales, profit and promotional performance
- Build strong commercial partnerships with key suppliers
- Support supplier negotiations and joint business opportunities
- Partner with Marketing and eCommerce to deliver customer trade plans
- Analyse performance and turn data into clear commercial actions
Now let’s talk about you:
- 3+ years’ experience in promotions, buying, category or a related commercial role
- Strong understanding of category management principles and commercial drivers
- Confident using customer data and insights to inform commercial decisions
- Experience working with suppliers and stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes
- Strong Excel and analytical capability
- An understanding of P&L drivers, sales, profit and commercial performance
- Drinks industry knowledge is desirable, but not essential
