About the role 
 

We’re seeking an Associate AI Solutions Engineer - UX to be involved in every stage of the machine learning lifecycle and be a key driver in our centralised AI team, owning the AI project end-to-end and creating impactful AI products.
 

You’ll join an innovative team, who work collaboratively to drive improvements and efficiencies through AI solutions. 
 

As our Associate AI Solutions Engineer – UX, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work. 

 

Day-to-day, you will: 
 

·         Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering using Python in cloud data environments like Snowflake and Google BigQuery

·         Train, validate, and tune a diverse range of models (e.g.: predictive, computer vision, LLM-based agents) using AWS or GCP ecosystem

·          Implement and manage robust monitoring and alerting for production AI services to track system health, API latency, and model performance metrics such as accuracy and data drift

·         Act as a technical contact to triage, diagnose, and perform root cause analysis on bugs, data anomalies

·         Collaborate with other teams to implement timely code fixes, data patches, and configuration changes to resolve issues and incidents

·         Accelerated adoption and validation of AI concepts through effective prototypes and UX designs

·         Partner with business stakeholders from other business units to translate their requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and functional prototypes

·         Communicate complex technical concepts, model behaviours, and analytical results to non-technical audiences through clear and compelling application demonstrations

·         Adopt software engineering best practices, including peer reviews, version control, and contributing to the team’s CI/CD pipelines 
 

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including: 
 

·         A natural advocate for the user, possessing the empathy to deeply understand their needs, the clarity to articulate design decisions and integrate feedback, and the commitment to the ethical and responsible use of AI

·         Experience in Python for backend development, modelling, and data manipulation

·         Familiarity with SQL and working with cloud environment

·         Experience designing and building interactive web applications with front-end frameworks like React and Flutter

·         Passion for AI and an ambition to become an Associate AI Solutions Engineer involved in the entire ML lifecycle Technical understanding to ensure fluent conversation with Developers and Testers when describing product requirements

·         Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services relevant to application deployment and AI (e.g., Vertex AI, BigQuery)

·         Deep understanding of core UI/UX principles, including information architecture, user flows, and wireframing

·         Experience in machine learning and statistical modelling, CI/CD pipelines and model deployment

·         Experience in handling large, unstructured dataset

·         Familiarity with MLOps principles, best practices and tooling
