Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) leads the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors. We offer a full suite of capital raising, transactional, and risk management products and services. IB&M also plays a critical internal role by providing markets, lending, and transaction banking execution capabilities to other CBA business divisions.
The FIC (Fixed Income and Currencies) Trading Desk is a cornerstone of IB&M, responsible for market-making, risk management, and hedging client-acquired risks. We manage significant inventories across rates, FX, credit, and both linear and non-linear derivatives. Our focus is on servicing client interest in large-scale risk transactions, often in illiquid markets. Our reputation as reliable market makers are built on our commitment to liquidity—even in challenging times.
