The NSC APAC team drives ING’s wholesale banking business, serving subsidiaries of multinational corporations (MNCs) operating in the APAC region.

Role Overview

As an Associate in the NSC Team, you will support a team of Regional Account Managers (RAMs) in Singapore by assisting with customer pitches, internal approvals, client onboarding, and portfolio analysis. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth execution of business development activities and strengthening client relationships.

In this role, you will act as a key enabler for business growth by supporting strategic initiatives, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and clients. You would also be responsible for the bank’s internal processes for setup and initiative of client facilities and transactions.

This role is ideal for a motivated banking professional looking to deepen their experience in corporate banking while working in an international and dynamic environment. It offers a career path towards a relationship manager role with P&L and client portfolio responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Pitches – Assist RAMs in preparing presentations and pitch materials for client meetings, ensuring clear value propositions and tailored solutions.
  • Client Onboarding – Support the end-to-end client onboarding process, including Know your Customer (KYC), documentation, and internal coordination.
  • Utilization Management – Drive utilization of approved facility and provide timely feedback to finetune commercial offerings to increase revenue and improve client experience.
  • Market and Industry Research – Stay updated on market trends, sector developments, and competitive intelligence to support strategic decision making and
  • Internal Coordination - Work closely with Parent Account Managers, product specialists, Risk, Lending, Compliance, Operations and other internal teams to facilitate client transactions
  • Compliance & Risk – ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and ING’s internal policies in all client engagement and onboarding processes

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking, with exposure to corporate and wholesale banking
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and conduct portfolio analysis. Proficiency in excel data analysis tools.
  • Commercial flair and client centric mindset
  • Experience in client onboarding, KYC or relationship management support an advantage
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset to work effectively with RAMs and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and high-pressure environments
