About the role
The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for driving the delivery, backlog, and prioritisation of our product roadmap, acting as the voice of the customer to engineering teams, and working closely with Product Managers and engineers to ensure alignment with the strategic direction and product vision. This role will work closely both within Tyro and with key third-party providers to deliver the vision of an integrated experience to Tyro customers. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of delivering initiatives, a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, and experience in software product development.
What you'll do
Act as the primary point of contact for development teams, providing customer context, guidance and direction as needed.
Work with stakeholders and customers to gather requirements and define product features and functionality
Develop and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it is up-to-date and prioritised based on impact
Be the voice of the customer internally and ensure that their needs are being met through the development process
Work with development teams to ensure that product features are delivered on time and within budget
Conduct user research and testing to validate product features and functionality
Work with the Delivery Leads to facilitate the delivery process and ensure that the team is working efficiently and effectively
Prioritise product features and create user stories for development
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in business, technology, computer science, or a related field.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions. You understand how to use data to measure your product’s adoption and usage.
Able to perform competitor analysis and form a clear view of the strengths and weaknesses of your product.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
Performance Indicators
Product delivery: Measured by the impact delivered.
Customer satisfaction: Measured by customer feedback and satisfaction surveys.
Product backlog management: Measured by the accuracy and completeness of the product backlog and the ability to prioritise based on business value and customer impact.
Cross-functional collaboration: Measured by the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, including developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
Agile methodology: Measured by the ability to successfully implement agile development methodologies and continuously improve the development process.
Product quality: Measured by the number of defects and issues reported by customers and the ability to address them in a timely manner.
