Job Description

We are looking for Associate Research Consultants to join our newly created team. You will be on the front lines of the commercial real estate industry, building key relationships with brokers, owners, and developers to gather and verify critical, real-time market intelligence. Each day you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of CoStar’s extensive database, tracking everything from new construction projects to major transactions. Your work is central to our mission: providing our clients with the comprehensive, high-quality data they need to make informed, high-impact business decisions and shape the future of real estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Intelligence Gathering: Establish and maintain relationships with brokers, owners, and developers to collect and verify real-time commercial real estate market data.

  • Data Accountability: Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of CoStar’s extensive database, including the tracking of new construction projects and significant transactions.

  • Client Data Support: Deliver comprehensive, verified data to clients to support their need for informed business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited/registered, not-for-profit, in-person University or College. Must have graduated or be graduating by December 2026

  • Interest in commercial real estate and market analytics.

  • Flexibility to work shifts aligned with Australian time zones

  • Investigative Skills: Natural curiosity, persistence, and ability to conduct thorough investigative research.

  • Performance: Proven success performing to metrics or key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Communication & Relationships: Experience communicating with internal business partners and external clients by phone, and the ability to develop client relationships for database updates.

  • Work Style: Goal oriented, able to manage multiple responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities, and excel in a fast-paced environment.

  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience within the commercial real estate industry.

  • Technical Skills: Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel (manipulating data, filtering, and developing basic formulas) and capability to accurately capture and enter data.

  • Adaptability: Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high-growth company, and a customer-focused approach.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work within a team environment as well as an individual contributor.
