About this role

We are looking for a driven Associate or Senior Associate to join our growing Outsourced CFO team in Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing advisory services and making a positive impact on their growth journeys.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with SME clients as an extension of their in-house finance function, delivering outsourced CFO and finance solutions including cashflow management, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Transform financial data into actionable insights through preparation of management reports, including KPIs and variance analysis

  • Preparation of SPFS and GPFS, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

  • Support clients across a broad range of corporate tax compliance, including company tax returns, BAS, payroll tax and FBT returns

  • Opportunity to contribute to special projects such as mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, and / or funding initiatives

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and playing a role in high-impact advisory engagements

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including banks, investors, and business owners, to communicate insightful and accurate financial insights

  • Work effectively with Directors and Partners, and contribute to training and development activities for less experienced team members

Skills and experience

  • Qualification(s) and / or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)

  • Have commenced (or planning to commence) a CA qualification

  • Significant business advisory experience within a chartered accounting setting

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a desire to go ‘above and beyond’ to delight your customers

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn

  • Proficiency in accounting systems (Xero) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel)

  • Previous experience with Netsuite or SAP would be advantageous
