Role Title: Aviation Training System Program Office Cost Modeller
Role Description:
The successful candidate will provide Cost Modelling and Financial Analysis services/artefacts as required including, but not limited to, the following:
• Development of and maintaining cost models appropriate for ODCS program/project milestones.
• Provision of cost modelling advice and guidance to key stakeholders.
• Mature cost models are developed and managed in accordance with CASG guidelines.
• Finalisation of cost estimates and final Source Evaluation Reports (SER) for project/s where required.
Essential Requirements:
• Formal financial management qualifications
• Minimum of five years of contemporary cost-modelling and financial management within a CASG/Defence environment
• Demonstrated ability to appreciate the business context to better assist leadership in financial decision making
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving, planning and seeking opportunities for improvement.
3. Strong analytical thinking, written and verbal communication including but not limited to development of:
a. Costing models
b. Project Briefings (written and verbal)
c. Strong negotiation skills including good listening skills to understand subtle business and technical issues
Required Security Clearance Level: NV1
Location: Canberra, however, open to remote work
Weekly Hours: 16, but likely to increase.
