Position: Automation Architect
We are looking for an experienced Automation Architect with 12+ years of experience in test automation, framework architecture, and enterprise-level automation strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining automation architecture, designing scalable and reusable frameworks, driving automation transformation, and providing technical leadership to automation teams.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive the overall test automation strategy and roadmap across applications/projects.
Architect, design, and implement scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to automation engineers and teams.
Lead the adoption and implementation of Selenium with Java and Playwright for UI and end-to-end automation.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools, technologies, frameworks, and design patterns.
Establish automation standards, best practices, coding standards, framework governance, and quality engineering practices.
Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
Drive automation across functional, regression, API, integration, and end-to-end testing where applicable.
Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
Drive the adoption of AI/GenAI in software testing and automation, including AI-assisted test generation, test analysis, defect identification, and automation optimization.
Collaborate closely with architects, developers, QA teams, DevOps, product teams, and business stakeholders.
Provide technical recommendations and influence automation-related architectural decisions.
Define automation KPIs, metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor senior automation engineers and contribute to building high-performing automation teams.
Participate in stakeholder discussions and clearly communicate automation architecture, strategy, risks, and recommendations.
Must-Have Skills
12+ years of experience in Test Automation / Quality Engineering.
Strong experience in Automation Architecture and Framework Design.
Hands-on expertise in Selenium with Java.
Strong experience or good hands-on exposure to Playwright.
Extensive experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps integration.
Proven experience in defining and driving Automation Strategy and Roadmaps.
Strong understanding of automation design patterns, best practices, scalability, and maintainability.
Experience providing technical leadership/mentoring to automation teams.
Good understanding and practical exposure to AI/GenAI applications in software testing and automation.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with API and service-level automation.
Experience with cloud-based testing and modern DevOps practices.
Experience with performance, integration, and end-to-end test automation.
Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and emerging Quality Engineering practices.
