The successful candidate will join the global Cloud Infrastructure team to design, build and support services and solutions to meet a wide variety of business requirements. You will be working closely with the trading, research and wider business teams to drive adoption of cloud-based services, implementing a cloud-first approach to problem solving. Cloud computing infrastructure is at the heart of QRT’s IT platform, and spans across many business areas including research technology, trading tools, market execution and data processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with development, trading, and operations teams to design and implement deployment strategies for applications on AWS
  • Drive the adoption of CI/CD practices to automate and streamline the software delivery process
  • Develop and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health, performance, and availability of cloud-based applications
  • Work alongside developers to enhance application scalability, reliability, and security in cloud environments
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for technical issues related to deployments and infrastructure
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency of DevOps processes
  • Act as a liaison between development, trading, and operations teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure, including EC2, S3, VPC, and related components
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar for automation and scripting tasks
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience implementing pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and experience with deployment automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK (Cloud Development Kit)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments
