Our role:


The Bid Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end bid management process. This includes ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet customer requirements, managing the bid stakeholders effectively, and establishing compliance with all RFP/RFI requirements and guidelines.


This role reports to the Presales Manager and does not have direct people management responsibilities.


This role includes the requirement to work outside of core business hours when required to meet bid submission timeframes and travelling for some opportunities where an on-site presence is required.

A day in your role:

  • Leading the end-to-end bid management process, from qualification to proposal submission.
  • Working with the team to develop and execute winning bid strategies that align with the Objective’s goals and customers’ requirements.
  • Coordinating bid responses across various teams, including sales, technical, legal and service delivery, to ensure all aspects of the proposal are compliant.
  • Identifying new business opportunities by monitoring public and private sector tender portals.
  • Developing compelling and persuasive proposal content, including win themes, executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models, and technical responses.
  • Ensuring compliance with customer/prospect requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Continuously refining and improving bid processes, templates, collateral and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness while reducing commercial risk.
  • Monitoring and tracking bid performance metrics, analysing win/loss data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conducting post-bid reviews with prospects and internally via debriefing sessions to identify areas of improvement and implement lessons learned for future bids.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, market insights and emerging best practices in bid management.

Your skills, experience and beyond:

  • Proven track record of working as a Bid Manager, Proposal Manager or similar role, preferably in selling SaaS solutions to the Government.
  • Demonstrated experience in winning bids through effective proposal management with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and industry-specific bid requirements across the ANZ (State and Federal) and UK regions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in proposal preparation and review.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
