Opportunity

At Macquarie Telecom Group, winning new business is about more than submitting proposals — it’s about demonstrating technical expertise, trust and long-term partnership with our customers.

We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to own and elevate our bid capability across Cloud, Cyber Security and Telecommunications solutions from opportunity qualification through to contract award, post‑bid analysis and handover to delivery.

This is a stand-alone role where you will bring structure, consistency and quality to how we approach bids across the organisation. Working closely with Sales, Solutions and Executive stakeholders, you’ll lead the development of compelling proposals for mid-market enterprise and government customers.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will play a key role in shaping strategic opportunities and improving how we position Macquarie Telecom in competitive procurements.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end bid lifecycle for strategic opportunities across telecommunications, cloud and cyber services — from opportunity qualification through to submission, negotiation and handover to delivery
  • Establish and maintain consistent bid frameworks, governance and templates across the Macquarie Telecom to improve efficiency, quality and win rates.
  • Work closely with Sales and Solutions teams to develop clear win strategies, customer insights and differentiated value propositions that reflect Macquarie Telecom’s strengths in secure, sovereign infrastructure and service excellence.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs from Sales, Product, Presales, Pricing, Legal and Delivery teams.
  • Ensure all submissions meet commercial, regulatory and procurement requirements. Including SOCI, Essential Eight and APRA CPS230.
  • Maintain reusable content libraries and proposal assets while continuously improving the efficiency, quality and consistency of bid submissions
  • Lead internal reviews and customer feedback sessions to capture insights and improve future bid performance

What you will be doing

  • 5+ years’ experience in Bid Management or Proposal Management within telecommunications and or MSP environment.
  • Background in telecommunications, cloud, cyber security or managed services.
  • Experience managing enterprise or government tenders – security clearance could be required.
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Exceptional written communication and proposal development skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a high-ownership role.
  • Experience with key Australian regulatory frameworks is essential
  • High levels of resilience and sound judgment in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
  • Deep awareness of telecommunications, ICT, procurement and market trendsaffecting Enterprise and Government customers.
