Schedule: Full time; 40 hours per week
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, particularly in handling Australian clients, and will be proficient in using XERO. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
Our client runs a full service residential and commercial renovation business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process payroll, invoicing, and bank/financial transactions.
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assist with Australian tax preparations (a plus).

Requirements
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Experience working for or with Australian clients.
- Strong understanding of payroll, invoicing, AP, AR, and bank transactions.
- Proficiency in XERO is a MUST
- Knowledge of Australian tax laws is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
