Purpose of role

The Business Analyst role (12 month contract) is to support the Applications Project Team in planning, developing and deploying technology enabled finance solutions to operating companies and central service functions that are part of the WPP AUNZ Group. This role will be required to support the team design, document and train business users on new processes which promote best practice and delivers efficiency through improved utilisation of the ERP's inbuilt functionality and other peripheral finance applications and technologies.

Key responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Accountable for applying agreed methods to carry out investigations, analysis, review and documentation in terms of business functions, processes, the information used & the data on which the information is based
  • Assist with the portfolio of application projects and be accountable for end to end delivery from our various internal and external providers
  • Responsible for collaborating business needs and views into structured requirements and specifications
  • Responsible for the quality of the analysis, requirements, specifications & acceptance criteria
  • Responsible for building relationships and managing stakeholder expectations by clear communication while staying current with business needs and requirements
  • Responsible for working closely with 3rd Party Vendors to test and implement the requirements and able to provide necessary feedback
  • Responsible for actively project managing solution deployment including identification and control of issues, risks, dependencies and scope changes which may impact the completion of project deliverables in accordance with the plan
  • Ensure the compliance of security and data privacy requirements
  • Participate in AdHoc Projects

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary education
  • A role that will best suit someone who is either a graduate (in any business related discipline) or has 1 or 2 years' experience
  • Knowledge of Finance systems, data management and the finance processes
  • Knowledge of Media booking and buying processes along with SMD experience would be preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a strong customer service focus
  • Project and programme management skills
  • Proficient MS Office 365
  • You have meticulous attention to detail, you are organised and can juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams and autonomously to deliver solutions to milestones/deadlines
  • Strong business process mapping and improvement skills and data analysis
  • Motivated, independent and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
