Business Analyst II - Technology Regulatory Execution
Overview
The Business Analyst II supports initiatives that strengthen Mastercard's technology resilience, risk management, governance, and regulatory readiness. The role helps translate business needs, regulatory requirements, operational challenges, and stakeholder objectives into clear requirements, actionable insights, reporting solutions, and process improvements.
This is an early-career role for individuals who enjoy solving problems, working with data, understanding how technology supports business operations, and helping teams make informed decisions. You will work with colleagues across Product, Engineering, Operations, Technology Risk, Regulatory, while developing your analytical, communication, and business analysis capabilities.

Role Responsibilities
Business Analysis
• Work with stakeholders to understand business problems, objectives, processes, and information needs.• Gather, organize, analyze, and document information from multiple sources.• Assist in translating stakeholder needs into clear business, process, data, and reporting requirements.• Create and maintain documentation such as requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, decision records, and presentation materials.• Support testing and validation of processes, reports, dashboards, and solutions.• Maintain traceability between the identified needs, agreed requirements, decisions, and delivered outcomes.
Regulatory and Resilience Support
• Assist with analysis of regulatory, technology risk, operational resilience, business continuity, and governance requirements.• Support mapping of business and technology processes, controls, capabilities, and evidence to relevant requirements or standards.• Help identify and document gaps, dependencies, assumptions, potential impacts, and improvement opportunities.• Participate in tracking actions, remediation activities, decisions, and deliverables.• Work with subject matter experts to clarify complex requirements and accurately document agreed interpretations and recommendations.
Data Analytics and Reporting• Gather and document requirements for dashboards, management reporting, and operational metrics.• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and useful business insights.• Support the development and maintenance of management information, reports, and dashboards.• Assist in defining and documenting business metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), calculation logic, thresholds, and data requirements.• Perform data validation and reconciliation to improve the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability of reporting.• Present findings clearly and concisely for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Process Improvement
• Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, controls, and effectiveness.• Support process documentation, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.• Contribute practical ideas that improve reporting, governance, resilience, and operational practices.• Assist with implementation, communication, and validation of agreed changes.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication• Work collaboratively with business and technology teams across functions and locations.• Participate in meetings, workshops, interviews, and reviews to gather information and validate requirements.• Communicate complex information in a clear and structured way for audiences with different levels of technical knowledge.• Prepare concise summaries, presentations, status updates, and recommendations.• Raise questions, risks, assumptions, and unresolved decisions promptly and constructively.

Qualifications
Required
• A bachelor's degree in business, information systems, technology, engineering, data analytics, economics, mathematics, risk management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.• Relevant professional experience. Relevant internships, apprenticeships, cooperative education, academic projects, volunteer work, and comparable practical experience may be considered.• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability, including the ability to organize information and draw logical conclusions.• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and conversation in the English language. Knowledge of regional languages will be an advantage.• Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, well-organized work.• Ability to learn new concepts and tools, manage priorities, and work collaboratively.• Curiosity, sound judgement, and willingness to ask questions and challenge assumptions constructively.• Experience working with data, spreadsheets, dashboards, reports, or analytical tools.• An Interest in technology, operational resilience, risk management, regulation in payments, or financial services.
Tools and Capabilities
Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following:• Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet tools• Power BI or other reporting and visualization tools• Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, or comparable low-code tools• Process mapping, requirements documentation, and presentation tools• AI-enabled productivity and analysis tools used responsibly• Basic understanding of structured data, data models, SQL, APIs, or enterprise reporting platforms
Equivalent experience with comparable tools and technologies will be considered.
