Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Sigma technical and analytics specialist, supporting a growing community of business users.
  • Build Sigma workbooks, dashboards, reports, and reusable analytics assets on Snowflake.
  • Turn business questions into meaningful analytics rather than simply translating requirements into dashboards.
  • Apply a strong understanding of data models, relationships, business definitions, and context to deliver accurate, trusted analytics.
  • Create reusable templates, design patterns, and standards to accelerate Sigma adoption.
  • Establish consistent development standards and best practices across Sigma assets.
  • Work directly with business users to understand how they explore and consume data, maintaining a strong user-centric approach.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, governance teams, and business stakeholders on data and analytics needs.
  • Enable self-service analytics while maintaining consistency, quality, and maintainability.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify existing analytics and improve the user experience.
  • Where needed, support the transition or rationalisation of Tableau reporting and analytics into the evolving Sigma environment.

Required Skills

Must Have

  • Strong hands-on experience with Sigma Computing / Sigma Analytics.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Snowflake.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, relationships, dimensional concepts, and analytical datasets.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret data in its business context, not just through visualisation.
  • Experience building dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics solutions.
  • Strong user-centric thinking and ability to work directly with business users.
  • Ability to establish templates, standards, reusable patterns, and development practices.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Tableau, especially in environments using both Tableau and Sigma.
  • Experience rationalising or modernising legacy BI and reporting environments.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and analytics governance.
  • Experience supporting a self-service analytics operating model.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who combines:

Sigma Development + SQL + Snowflake + Data Modelling + Analytics Thinking + Business Understanding

The ideal candidate can take ownership of Sigma as adoption grows, introducing the structure and standardisation needed to keep expanding self-service analytics scalable, consistent, and trusted.
