The Business Consultant provides business consulting for Objective's software solutions, focusing on workshops, business analysis, solution design, configuration, training, and customer support.

Our role:
The Business Consultant is responsible to provide business consulting for Objective solutions, across Objective’s products and will be responsible for all business aspects of Objective implementations, upgrades and ongoing support. Key activities include workshops, business analysis, prototyping, solution configuration, training, and end user support.
This position reports to the Consulting Manager and does not have people management responsibilities.
A day in your role:
- Workshop Facilitation -Responsible for the facilitation of requirements workshops with customers, using standard methodology templates to obtain specific project outcomes.
- Requirements Analysis - Responsible for analysing customer business processes as a precursor to solution design. Ensure alignment of business processes to product capability, work closely with customers to leverage product capability, and best maximise long-term business value from the solution.
- Solution Design - In conjunction with the Technical Consultants, you will be responsible for architecting a design solution that meets the customer's documented requirements.
- Solution Configuration - Responsible for configuring the Objective product suite to conform to the documented solution design and making evolutionary improvements to the solution by prototyping the solution with the customer.
- Advanced Training - Train customers in advanced aspects of Objective product use and product administration
- Functional and UAT Testing - Responsible for preparing test cases and detailed scripts to support customer functional and user acceptance testing.
- Customer Satisfaction - Manage professional relationships with customers to foster long-term, trusted advisor status and ensure they receive maximum value from Objective solutions.
- Personal Utilisation is a crucial responsibility with an individual goal of greater than 70% billable utilisation.
Your skills, experience and beyond:
- At least 3-4 years experience in the roll-out of large complex projects leveraging commercial off the shelf solutions, with specific emphasis on business process mapping.
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis or consulting roles.
- Hands-on experience in UML or similar process/data modelling experience.
- End-user training delivery experience would be desirable.
- Significant participation in functional, integration or UAT testing on at least one project.
