As a Business Development Executive (BDE), you will be responsible for all aspects of prospecting new Corporate Card clients to deliver annual sales targets. BDEs are responsible for driving Commercial Card sales to local and multinational business in the SME segment (companies with annual turnover of $10M-$150M).

The successful candidate will be part of a team of 8 sales executives responsible for pipeline management, successfully converting prospects into customers, forecasting monthly sales, generating billings and all other activities associated with achieving growth targets.

This is a phone-based sales role which will offer you career development, the chance to build your consultative selling skills as well as working towards realistic and achievable sales targets.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage pipeline and sales activities, including but not limited to self-generated leads, cold calls, follow-up calls, emails, and other prospecting activities.
  • Provide American Express expense management solutions to companies by understanding each prospect's business, identifying potential opportunities, and introducing our services.
  • Build strong relationships and engage with new and existing clients, predominantly over the phone.
  • Sell corporate solutions to clients across a variety of industries.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver on our customer promise.
Qualifications
  • Consultative selling experience (with a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding sales goals in a phone-based sales environment)
  • Experience in Acquisition and B2B corporate sales
  • Proven ability of hunting new business, self-generation of leads and referrals
  • Demonstrated skills in networking, collaboration, and stakeholder management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience building relationships and developing and executing successful sales strategies
  • Ability to effectively engage and gain commitment across all communication platforms (via telephone, email, social media & face to face
  • Commercial acumen, with the ability to understand financial statements (preferred)
