Loqate ANZ is part of a global business line within the GBG organisation. GBG ANZ has offices in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Auckland.

Business Development Manager

As Business Development Manager (ANZ), you will drive Loqate’s growth across Australia and New Zealand, managing client portfolios, expanding market reach, and supporting GBG solutions.

You will report to the APAC Sales Director, based in Singapore.


Key Responsibilities

·       Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets

·       Build and nurture relationships with clients and partners

·       Achieve revenue targets through renewals, upselling, and new client acquisition

·       Collaborate with marketing and product teams to enhance brand presence

·       Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting to leadership

·       Monitor industry trends and competitor activity


What you will do

·       Communicate regularly with your line manager on activity and achievement against set strategy.

·       Identify and pursue new business opportunities

·       Building and maintain client relationships

·       Develop and execute sales strategies based on MEDPICC methodology

·       Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, etc.)

·       Monitor industry trends and competitor activity

·       Report on pipeline and performance metrics


Skills we’re looking for

·       Proven track record in business development and account management

·       Experience in data-focused software solutions, ideally location intelligence

·       Strong sales methodology and pipeline management skills

·       Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities

·       Sector experience in retail, financial services, insurance, or public sector

·       Technical proficiency with CRM and analytics tool
