About the Role

The AWS Business Development Manager is responsible for driving AWS growth across Australia through Ingram Micro’s AWS Startup Acceleration Initiative (SAI). This role focuses on identifying and engaging high-potential startups, ISVs, and innovation-led businesses, generating new AWS opportunities, building relationships across the startup ecosystem, recruiting and enabling partners, and developing scalable go-to-market strategies that drive measurable AWS consumption and revenue growth.

Role Requirements

  • Proven business development, channel sales, or cloud sales experience within the Australian or ANZ technology market
  • Strong new business development, prospecting, and lead generation capabilities
  • Experience selling or positioning cloud, SaaS, or technology solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with startups, ISVs, MSPs, resellers, or technology partners
  • Strong commercial, pipeline, and opportunity management discipline
  • Ability to engage confidently with executive, sales, technical, and ecosystem stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and scale new initiatives from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of cloud, AI, and emerging technology trends

Role Responsibilities

  • Drive the AWS Startup Acceleration Initiative (SAI) across Australia
  • Build and develop a strategic startup ecosystem across Australia
  • Identify, prospect, and engage high-potential startups, ISVs, and innovation-led businesses
  • Generate qualified AWS opportunities and build a strong greenfield pipeline
  • Recruit and enable startup-focused partners and ISVs
  • Develop joint go-to-market initiatives with AWS, partners, and the startup ecosystem
  • Engage with incubators, accelerators, VC firms, and innovation communities to generate new opportunities
  • Drive workshops, webinars, events, and other startup-focused engagement initiatives
  • Position AWS solutions across cloud, migration, AI, data, security, Marketplace, and professional services
  • Collaborate with AWS and Ingram Micro sales, marketing, services, and delivery teams to accelerate growth
  • Build repeatable startup sales motions that drive AWS consumption, pipeline, and revenue growth
