Now, we’re building a high-impact sales team to drive Anna’s expansion. As an Outbound Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for prospecting, engaging, and closing high-value business customers, ensuring that Anna’s corporate card and spend management platform reaches the businesses that need it most.

The role pays a salary of $90,000 - $110,000, depending on experience, with a first-year OTE of $160,000.

What you’ll do
• Develop & Execute Sales Strategy – Identify, target, and convert mid-market and SME businesses through proactive outbound sales efforts.
• Own the Full Sales Cycle – Manage deals from prospecting to close, building strong relationships with finance, operations, and leadership teams.
• Drive New Business Growth – Engage in high-volume outbound prospecting, book meetings with decision-makers, and convert leads into long-term customers.
• Build & Scale Strategic Partnerships – Identify and develop channel and referral partnerships to drive sustainable revenue growth.
• Deliver Compelling Sales Messaging – Position Cape as the leading solution for business spending and expense management, tailoring pitches to customer pain points.
• Achieve & Exceed Sales Targets – Consistently meet and exceed revenue goals, contributing to Anna’s expansion across Australia.
• Leverage Data & CRM Tools – Track pipeline performance in CRM (Salesforce preferred) and refine sales approaches based on real-time insights.
• Collaborate Across Teams – Work with Marketing, Product, and Revenue Operations to optimize outbound strategies and enhance sales effectiveness.
Requirements
What you’ll need
• 4+ years of experience in outbound B2B sales, business development, or partnerships, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or financial services.
• Proven ability to exceed quotas, drive new business, and win high-value customers in a competitive market.
• Experience selling to finance and operations leaders in mid-market and SME businesses.
• Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers at all levels.
• Entrepreneurial mindset – a self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, high-performance environment.
• Strong business acumen – ability to understand financial products and position Anna as a game-changing solution.
• Comfort with CRM and sales automation tools (Salesforce, Outreach, HubSpot, SalesLoft).
Nice to have
• Experience selling financial products (corporate cards, credit, banking, or spend management).
• Background in partnerships, channel sales, or affiliate marketing within fintech or SaaS.
• Understanding of financial compliance, Open Banking, or SME financing needs.
• Track record of scaling outbound sales strategies in a startup or scale-up environment.
