About the Role 

  • Reporting to the Sales Manager, we are currently recruiting for a high-performing Business Development Manager – Microsoft to join our team. This role is critical to driving growth across Microsoft’s Modern Workplace and Azure portfolios, with a strong focus on partner engagement, execution, and market alignment. 

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the relationship between Ingram Micro and Microsoft, working closely with the Vendor Manager to ensure revenue, margin, and forecasting targets are consistently achieved. You will play a key role in activating Microsoft programs in-market, engaging unmanaged and long-tail partners, and converting strong vendor support into tangible partner outcomes. 

  • This is a fast-paced, high-administration role that rewards structure, discipline, and strong execution. Success will come from your ability to create alignment across Microsoft programs, internal teams, and the partner ecosystem. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Meet and exceed revenue, margin, and sales targets aligned to Microsoft growth objectives 

  • Proactively engage with existing and new partners, with a strong focus on unmanaged and long-tail partners 

  • Drive partner activation and portfolio expansion across Microsoft Modern Workplace and Azure solutions 

  • Work closely with the Microsoft Vendor Manager to ensure consistent execution of programs, incentives, and campaigns 

  • Collaborate with internal sales teams to ensure Microsoft programs are fully leveraged in-market 

  • Assist with the execution of quarterly marketing plans to maximise Microsoft brand visibility and partner engagement 

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy across forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management 

  • Navigate Microsoft patterns, policies, and go-to-market pillars to ensure compliance and commercial effectiveness 

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders to remove friction and improve productivity 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Proven experience in Channel Sales or Business Development, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem 

  • Strong exposure to Microsoft Azure (hands-on knowledge or commercial/channel experience preferred) 

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft programs, partner models, incentives, and policies 

  • Experience working with Australian partners across the SMB, mid-market, or enterprise segments 

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-admin environment with strong attention to detail 

  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills 

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing sales or territory plans 

  • A track record of managing and growing a channel in competitive markets 

  • Experience within IT distribution is highly regarded 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
