JAS Auto Electrical Parts, part of the Bapcor Group, is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, strengthen customer relationships and identify new business opportunities across Brisbane. 

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia's leading automotive aftermarket businesses, where you'll have the autonomy to develop growth strategies, partner with key customers and work closely with our branch network, sales teams and supplier partners.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while growing existing customer relationships across your territory.

You'll develop and execute business development strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market presence and strengthen customer loyalty across the JAS network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking, referrals and prospecting activities.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and industry stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and close high-value commercial agreements.
  • Support branch and field sales teams to maximise sales opportunities and customer growth.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Finance and Sales teams to deliver commercial outcomes.
  • Provide regular reporting, market insights and sales performance analysis to senior leadership.

Qualifications

We're looking for a sales-driven professional who combines commercial acumen with strong relationship-building skills.

You'll ideally bring:

  • 3-5+ years' experience in Business Development, Sales or Account Management.
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong experience developing new business opportunities and growing customer accounts.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to identify market opportunities and convert them into commercial outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience within automotive, industrial, trade, wholesale or related industries will be highly regarded.
  • The ability to travel throughout your region as required.
