Role Overview 

Fractal ANZ is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) focused on new client acquisition from our Must Win Clients (MWC), which includes ASX 50 and Public Sector entities. This role is ideal for someone with a finely tuned sales and consulting style who wants to be an integral part of our growth and revenue achievements. You will target top executives of untapped potential MWC companies, drive the pivotal moment where leads become sales, and negotiate contracts through to a successful close. You must be a proven sales pro. and hungry to achieve high income via meeting achievable growth targets.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Generate C-level leads through professional networking, social-media, events, and calling 

  • Conduct face-to-face or virtual sales meetings. 

  • Build new business in your territory and identify new business opportunities in MWC. 

  • Convert opportunities through consultative selling, manage the full negotiation and close process, and transition these accounts to the respective Engagement Manager. 

  • Demonstrate commercial agility and acuity in articulating Fractal's value proposition and diagnosing prospective clients' business needs and challenges. 

  • Manage an average sales cycle of 90 days and consistently close deals. 

Qualifications 

  • 12+ years of successful sales/business development experience, including commercial negotiations with C-level decision-makers in ASX 50 companies. 

  • Experience selling Data Analytics, AI/ML, Data Engineering, GenAI, and technology services. 

  • Software/license product selling experience is a plus. 

  • Ability to handle revenue responsibility and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals. 

  • Proven ability to manage and forecast a complex sales process precisely. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills; capable of quickly building rapport and delivering compelling, persuasive arguments to an executive-level audience. 

  • Solid understanding of business concepts and dynamics for large national and international corporations. 

  • Superior time management skills and strong attention to detail. 

  • Willingness to conduct ANZ-wide travel as necessary. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in addition to a business-related post-graduate degree).
