The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving enrolments into ACAP’s Practical Legal Training (PLT) Program, delivered in partnership with the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV). This role is central to expanding program awareness and market presence through strategic marketing initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and effective relationship management.
Key responsibilities include outreach to universities, law student societies, and targeted law firms to promote the program's value and differentiate it within a competitive market. The BDM will be accountable for meeting defined enrolment targets, nurturing key partnerships, and identifying new opportunities to increase visibility and engagement across the legal education sector.
While the primary focus is on the PLT program, this role may be expanded to support other course areas as opportunities arise, in line with ACAP’s strategic growth objectives.
This is a Full-time Fixed Term position for 24 months.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or stakeholder engagement, ideally within the higher education, legal, or professional training sectors.
- Demonstrated success in driving enrolment or client growth through strategic outreach and partnership development.
- Strong understanding of the legal education landscape, graduate employability, and professional training models (experience in PLT or legal education is highly regarded).
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, academic, and external partners.
- Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite for lead management, reporting, and communications.
- Tertiary qualification in business, law, education, or a related field (desirable).
