ANZ Business Development Manager – Oral Care Solventum
Solventum (previously 3M) Oral Care Dental, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth through the development of key strategic partnerships. This role is pivotal in expanding our market reach by forging and managing relationships within Labs, Vendor Partners, DSO & Government, Channel Partners, and key academic institutions. We are looking for a sales leader who can articulate the value of 3M’s dental solutions to C-suite executives, sales leaders, and university stakeholders to create mutually beneficial growth opportunities also driving growth in sales actions at Labs, government, and clinic level as well as form strong individual contributions to the team.
The 3M /Solventum Dental portfolio is headlined by our Filtek™, Scotchbond™, RelyX™, Imprint™, and Clinpro™ LAVA, brands and also orthodontic portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve revenue and market share growth targets through DSO/GOV, Labs, Vendor or resellers partnerships.
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and manage high-performing Channel Partners, providing them with the tools, training, and sales support to succeed.
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with Vendor Partners and their sales leaders to create and implement co-selling and co-marketing initiatives.
- Sell into, and grown accounts in Government, University and Channel partners with a commercial growth mindset.
- Lead the market development strategy for the university sector, establishing 3M Oral Care as a preferred partner for dental schools through curriculum integration, research collaborations, and student engagement programs.
- Drive joint business planning with key partners to align on objectives, forecast accurately, and track performance against mutual goals.
- Leverage internal resources and Market Development teams to create compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies for new and existing partnerships.
Key Criteria
- A minimum of 5 years in a business development, channel sales, GOV/DSO or strategic partnership role, with a proven track record of driving sales growth, preferably in the healthcare or B2B and B2C sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex sales cycles end to end, negotiating partnership agreements, and building a robust pipeline through indirect channels.
- Strong background in developing and executing key accounts, channel partner programs and managing third-party relationships to exceed targets.
- A minimum of 3 years working with Corporate/Gov, Lab, and Government entities with a strategic growth mentality.
- Proficiency in leveraging CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) for pipeline management, forecasting, and partner performance tracking.
- Intimately understand the digital orthodontic work flow.
- High degree of computer literacy across the Microsoft suite of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarization with Power BI would be viewed as an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage and influence C-suite executives, sales leaders, and academic decision-makers.
