About the Role

We’re looking for a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Uber for Business sales team and help fuel our next stage of growth.

In this role, you’ll be at the front of our sales engine, identifying new business opportunities, engaging prospective customers and building a strong pipeline for our Account Executives. Through outbound prospecting across phone, email and LinkedIn, you’ll connect with decision-makers, uncover their business challenges and introduce them to the value Uber for Business can bring to their organisation.

You’ll partner closely with Account Executives to research target accounts, develop prospecting strategies and turn conversations into qualified sales opportunities.

For someone looking to build a career in B2B sales, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your commercial skills within a global technology company. With demonstrated success, the BDR role provides a strong pathway towards becoming an Account Executive.

What You'll Do

  • Build pipeline: Generate new business opportunities across your assigned territory or vertical through targeted outbound prospecting.
  • Engage prospects: Connect with prospective customers through cold calling, email, LinkedIn and marketing campaigns.
  • Uncover opportunities: Understand a prospect’s business challenges, priorities and buying journey, and identify where Uber for Business can add value.
  • Partner with Account Executives: Work closely with your AEs on account planning, target lists, messaging and prospecting strategies.
  • Engage decision makers: Build confidence having high-level conversations with senior stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Deliver against goals: Own your activity and performance metrics, including Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), pipeline contribution and Gross Bookings from closed opportunities.
  • Own your pipeline: Keep prospect and opportunity information accurate and up to date in Salesforce, with clear next steps for progression.
  • Collaborate across Uber: Partner with internal teams to create a seamless experience for prospective customers and help deliver the right solution.

 Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of outbound sales, business development or relevant B2B experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and lead engaging conversations with prospective customers.
  • A proactive, self driven mindset with a genuine desire to learn, develop and succeed.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and take initiative.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with Salesforce and outbound email campaigns.
  • Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Groove.
  • A genuine interest in technology, B2B sales and building a career in sales.
