Company Description

The sky's not the limit at Nearmap

Property intelligence is reshaping how the world understands the built environment, and Nearmap is driving that. We put powerful aerial imagery, AI-driven analytics, and geospatial tools into the hands of the people who plan, build, insure, and govern the places we all live and work. Our technology turns property uncertainty into decisive action, and our culture brings out the best in the people who build it.

We move fast, we care about craft, and we're proud of what we're building. If you're energized by turning hard problems into real-world impact, we'd love to meet you.

Job Description

A rare opportunity now exists to join our high-performing Sales Development team in Sydney as a Business Development Representative. If you're not afraid of the phone, love building meaningful relationships, hungry for success in a sales career, coachable, and ready to back yourself in a role where your effort directly shapes your reward and your career trajectory in Tech SaaS sales, this role is what you are hunting for!

As our next BDR, you'll be the engine that starts deals at Nearmap. You'll prospect hard through outbound lead generation. You will work closely with your Account Executive partners who will close the deal.

You'll work inside a tight vertical squad alongside AEs, CSMs, Marketing, and Product Marketing and you'll be coached directly by our Sales Development Manager with over 30 years of real-world sales experience behind them.

For the right person, the path to Account Executive is clear, real, and earned here.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • 2+ years in BDR, lead gen, inside sales, or account management or a complementary customer service / sales focused role where you have had experience selling a solution, not just a product
  • A track record of hitting quota
  • SaaS or subscription sales experience would be a bonus but an aptitude for tech is a must!
  • High-volume outbound cold calling confidence (you don't flinch)
  • Salesforce or CRM proficiency idea
  • Resilience, organisation, and the drive to own your number every single day

You're coachable, competitive, and a genuine team player. You communicate with clarity and energy. You see rejection as data, not defeat.

To be considered you must have full working rights in Australia
