About us

Founded in Sydney in 2014, ezyCollect by Sidetrade is Australia's leading Order-to-Cash platform for small and mid-sized businesses. We automate credit management, collections, and payments - taking the manual work out of getting paid. Our 1,100+ customers manage A$19 billion in receivables through the platform, typically cutting late payments by 40% and bad debt by 80% within three months.

Now part of global AI leader Sidetrade, we're scaling our reach across three continents - bringing enterprise-grade technology to the mid-market while staying true to our Sydney roots. Australian innovation. Global ambition.

Why this role exists

ezyCollect is entering an exciting new chapter. Now part of Sidetrade, a global leader in AI-powered Order-to-Cash solutions, we’re combining our local expertise with world-class technology and international scale. As more finance teams across Australia and beyond look to automate their accounts receivable and improve cash flow, demand for ezyCollect has never been higher.
To keep up with this momentum, we’re hiring a BDR based in our Sydney office to help us build high-quality pipeline through outbound outreach. This role is pivotal to our future growth and puts you at the frontline of engaging and educating the next wave of ezyCollect customers.
This is a full-time permanent position.

Your team

You'll work closely with our BDR Manager, who will be your direct coach and mentor. The broader sales team includes collaborating daily with our other BDRs, Account Executives and Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and high conversion rates.

The culture is collaborative and flat - we have an open-door policy, a great atmosphere when the team is together, and genuine support for your development. As the team grows based on success, there could be opportunities for high performers who want to step up.

What you'll be doing

Hunt the right accounts. Run outbound prospecting into target accounts across manufacturing, construction, food & beverage, wholesale and more, using phone, email and LinkedIn to open doors.

Book meetings that matter. Your goal is to pass qualified opportunities to Account Executives, meetings that convert into real pipeline and revenue.

Support the deal. Help prepare pricing options and proposal documentation for Account Executives, and keep opportunity records accurate and current in HubSpot as deals progress.

Know your buyer. Build deep knowledge of our ICP and buyer personas, so you understand why Accounts Receivable automation actually matters to CFOs, Financial Controllers and AR Managers.

Sharpen the machine. Work closely with Sales and Marketing to refine messaging, improve lead quality, track and report on outreach performance and conversion rates, and feed frontline insights back into our go-to-market.

Stay close to the outcome. Check in with AEs and Customer Success on the accounts you open even after handoff, so the opportunities you generate convert into satisfied, long-term customers.

What we ask from you

Based in Australia, with the right to work here.
At least 1 year of experience in B2B/B2C sales, lead generation or a customer-facing role. SaaS or finance experience is a plus, not a requirement.
Strong written and verbal communication. Cold calling doesn't faze you, and you can write an email that gets a reply. Learning finance terminology and Accounts Receivable workflows will be part of the journey - the more conversations you have, the sharper you'll get.
Organised and self-motivated, able to carry a high-volume workload without letting quality slip.
Curious and coachable. You ask good questions, take feedback on board, and want to get sharper every week.
Familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools (HubSpot, Apollo) is a bonus, not a requirement. We'll teach you what you need to know.
A track record of consistent, quantifiable results in past roles.

Our tech stack

  • CRM: HubSpot for deal creation, pipeline tracking, and collaboration with AEs
  • Prospecting: Apollo for sequences and outreach, Clay for data enrichment and list building
  • Communication: Email, phone, LinkedIn for multi-channel outreach

Why join now?

Momentum and clarity. With Sidetrade's backing, there's more clarity and confidence than ever. Deals are closing easier. The market is responding. You're joining at a time when growth is accelerating, not slowing down.

Real career progression. High performers who deliver will have genuine opportunities to progress into other roles in the business. We operate across different markets and geographies - the more successful you are, the more opportunities you'll unlock.

Autonomy and ownership. If you have a better way to do something, we’ll give you the autonomy to run with it. We encourage people to bring their own ideas and test new approaches  - you'll be trusted to execute.

Steady revenue, ambitious goals. We're profitable with 1,100+ customers and A$19B under management. You're not joining a startup scrambling for product-market fit - you're joining a company that's already proven and scaling fast.

What we offer

Competitive OTE: Base salary of $79,500 + commission structure with realistic targets and achievable OTE with strong upside for high performers.

Work that fits your life: Hybrid working (3 days in office), work-from-anywhere policy, generous parental leave, and flexible leave when life happens.

Level up your skills: Annual training budget, dedicated coaching, and exposure to multiple facets of the business (sales, CS, product) that accelerates your growth.

Modern workspace: 24/7 access to our WeWork office on Pitt Street with on-site barista and bar, plus optional active lunch breaks, meditation, and yoga sessions.

Connect and recharge: Quarterly team social events, monthly virtual entertainment, and a collaborative culture that rewards the right behaviours.

Additional perks: Employee referral bonuses and the chance to work with a product customers genuinely love
