Hastings Deering has a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced drilling professional to step into a pivotal sales and customer support role, driving growth across our Caterpillar rotary surface drill product line.

As the Business Line Manager – Drills, you will be the key connection between Hastings Deering and our drilling customers. You will own critical relationships with drill and blast superintendents, identify new business opportunities and deliver solutions that strengthen our position in the market. Leading a small team of Equipment Specialists, you will also drive aftermarket parts sales and ensure world-class product support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with drilling customers and site leaders
  • Drive sales growth of Caterpillar rotary surface drills and aftermarket parts
  • Act as the customer’s advocate, ensuring product performance and support meet operational needs
  • Identify opportunities and secure contracts to expand market share
  • Lead, coach and develop a small team of Equipment Specialists
  • Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to guide business strategy
  • Collaborate with internal service, parts, and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Champion Hastings Deering’s commitment to safety, compliance and customer success

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the drilling industry
  • Proven success in business development, sales or account management
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain strong customer relationships at all levels
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing financial and operational outcomes
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or equivalent experience
  • A results-driven mindset and ability to lead through influence
