What you’ll be doing:

At Sime Group, safety is at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an experienced Business Support Advisor to join our Group Safety team and provide high-level coordination, reporting and administrative support across our Australian operations.

Reporting to the Executive Manager - Systems, Risk, Assurance and Training, you’ll provide support across safety systems, executive reporting, project coordination, leadership meetings, communications, budgeting and business improvement activities.

Working with stakeholders across Safety, Operations, Risk, Training, HR and Finance, you'll help coordinate information, actions and priorities to support the effective delivery of the team’s programs and activities.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide administration and user support for safety systems, including maintaining accurate information and assisting with user queries.

  • Coordinate safety reporting, dashboards and scorecards and the support the collation, formatting and updating of leadership and Board materials.

  • Assist with reviewing safety and performance data and preparing information for reporting.

  • Support the preparation and formatting of presentations, briefing materials and business communications.

  • Support the ccoordination of team and leadership meetings, including agendas, minutes, action tracking and follow-up.

  • Monitor safety projects, initiatives and KPIs, ensuring timely reporting and visibility of progress.

  • Support budget administration, procurement activities and vendor coordination.

  • Coordinate travel and logistics for members of the Safety team as required.

  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Systems, Risk, Assurance and Training team.

  • Undertake additional administrative and business support activities as required to assist the team and support changing priorities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement in reporting, governance and business support processes.

What you’ll need:  

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Experience in a Business Support, Administration, Project Coordination, or similar role.

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience supporting the preparation of reports, presentations and business communications.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience working with reporting systems, databases and data management processes.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

  • A practical and flexible approach to supporting team priorities.

  • The ability to work proactively and independently, while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues.

  • A willingness to assist with a range of administrative and business support activities as required.

  • Maintain accurate information within safety systems and support routine system administration activities.
