Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cartage Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Cartage Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the timely, accurate and efficient delivery of all transport deliveries to our customers. This role requires strong communication skills to develop relationships with our carriers and customers, ensuring to deliver exceptional customer service. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering emails or phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Using in-house system (OneTrack) and other systems to complete job
  • Handling a portfolio of clients and providing outstanding Customer Service
  • Organise and follow all inbound/outbound shipments to ensure goods are promptly delivered
  • Scheduling in line with Mondiale VGL Fleet requirements
  • Monitor and follow up empty container status
  • Ensuring all accounts are updated with correct contact and delivery details.
  • Resolve issues and communicate any delays to the relevant departments/customers
  • Handling and monitoring DAWR containers
  • Maintain awareness of customs compliance updates
  • Working with the team to ensure smooth processes
  • Actively identifying opportunities to reduce transport costs and improve margins
  • Ensuring a high standard of customer service is always provided

Qualifications

  • 3+ years previous experience in a similar role within the logistics industry
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Exceptional time management and the ability to prioritise in a high-paced setting
  • Confident and professional communicator with proven customer service skills
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with strong troubleshooting capabilities
  • Positive attitude and team player with a flexible, can-do mindset
