About the role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Category Manager for an 18 month contract (potential to extend) to drive category performance and growth across our retail network.

In this role, you’ll will support the Merchandise Transformation Manager to shape product range, pricing, promotions and supplier partnerships to deliver strong sales and profitability outcomes. You’ll also play a key role in advancing gen z growth strategy and ad-hoc projects. 

 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies across range, pricing, promotions and space
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercially beneficial outcomes
  • Drive category performance through reporting, insights and continuous improvement
  • Oversee pricing governance across multiple regions
  • Support key merchandise transformation projects across the retail network
  • Analyse data and provide recommendations to optimise category performance
  • Partner with stakeholders across operations, marketing, and supply chain

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in category management, buying or commercial retail roles
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating outcomes
  • Exposure to retail projects or transformation initiatives is highly advantageous
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
