Job Description

  • Full-time, 12-month Fixed-Term position at HEW Level 9.
  • Parramatta South Campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $137,681 – $147,032 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

Lead change and adoption for critical cyber security programs, ensuring stakeholders are ready and benefits are realised.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will lead change management for a portfolio of critical cyber security initiatives, ensuring stakeholders are engaged, supported and ready to adopt new ways of working. You will focus on practical adoption outcomes across business processes, systems and culture, helping the University deliver program benefits while managing people impacts and operational risk.

You will undertake change impact assessments and stakeholder mapping, then develop and deliver change and adoption plans that set clear messages, engagement approaches, and training needs. Working closely with internal communication teams, you will build a strategic change narrative and deliver timely communications aligned to program milestones.

You will partner with senior leaders and program sponsors to strengthen change leadership, facilitate engagement forums, and provide regular reporting to governance bodies and senior management. You will also develop fit-for-purpose change frameworks and tools to support consistent delivery and lead a small team of change and communication resources to maintain momentum across competing priorities.

  • Change impacts and stakeholder needs are assessed early and actioned through clear plans.
  • Engagement, communications and training are delivered to support sustained adoption.
  • Sponsors and senior leaders are supported to lead change confidently and visibly.
  • Change activity aligns to program timelines, milestones and governance expectations.
  • A consistent change framework and toolkit improves quality across initiatives.

About You

  • Degree in Management, Business, Communications, Human Resources or related field, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience leading change strategies for large, complex programs.
  • Experience delivering change and adoption for large-scale technology transformations.
  • Understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and challenges in a higher education context. 
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary change management methodologies and toolkits.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including with senior executives.
