The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Change Manager with a strong Banking and Financial Services background to lead end-to-end technology change initiatives at AMP. The role requires expertise across all change disciplines, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, business readiness, adoption, and benefits realisation.

A key focus of this role will be driving AI adoption across SDLC and engineering toolsets, while supporting the rollout of cyber security, risk remediation, and regulatory compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that people, processes, and technology changes are effectively implemented, adopted, and embedded to deliver sustainable business outcomes.

The Change Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end change management activities across technology, cyber security, AI adoption, and regulatory initiatives. The role ensures that people, processes, and ways of working are successfully transitioned, adopted, and embedded to achieve business outcomes. This position plays a critical role in driving organisational readiness, stakeholder engagement, business adoption, and benefits realisation across enterprise technology transformation programs.

Description of Division and Business Unit

Technology at AMP delivers and supports capabilities across Wealth, Superannuation, Platforms, Banking, Digital, Data, Enterprise Technology, Cyber Security, Risk and Compliance.

Teams partner across AMP to deliver business, technology and AI-enabled transformation initiatives, ensuring changes are effectively governed, adopted and embedded. This includes supporting strategic programs, operational improvements, AI solutions, regulatory change, and continuous enhancement of customer and employee experiences.

About the Role

Change Management & Business Readiness

  • Develop and execute change management strategies and plans aligned to project and business objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end change delivery across technology transformation initiatives within a Banking and Financial Services environment.
  • Conduct Change Impact Assessments (CIA) to assess people, process, technology, governance, risk, and operational impacts.
  • Drive organisational readiness activities, transition planning, adoption measurement, and benefits realisation.
  • Develop and deliver communication, engagement, and training strategies to support successful adoption and sustained change.
  • Establish and monitor change adoption metrics and success measures to ensure benefits are realised and embedded.

Technology, AI & Cyber Transformation

  • Support enterprise technology transformation initiatives, including SDLC, engineering, platform, and digital workplace changes.
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools and capabilities across technology and business teams, helping improve productivity, decision-making, and delivery outcomes.
  • Lead change activities supporting AI adoption across software development lifecycle (SDLC), engineering toolsets, and new ways of working.
  • Support cyber security initiatives including security and controls uplift programs, risk remediation, regulatory compliance, identity and access management, and technology control enhancements.
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure AI and cyber-related changes are introduced responsibly and effectively within a regulated environment.
  • Support the successful rollout and adoption of regulatory compliance initiatives impacting technology and business teams.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across business, technology, cyber security, risk, compliance, and project teams.
  • Manage stakeholder impact, expectations, and engagement across all organisational levels.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Platform Owners, Business Owners, and senior leaders to ensure alignment, readiness, and successful adoption of change.
  • Facilitate workshops, decision-making discussions, and change forums to drive engagement and ownership.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and leaders to drive commitment and accountability for change outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with the wider transformation teams and other key leads. Seek inputs and feedback into the effectiveness of the Change Management Plan, leading to an endorsed approach by the sponsors.
  • Continually reassess the greatest areas of resistance and blockers to focus engagement attention on priority areas.
  • Actively assist Senior Project Managers in the risk and issue management process by identifying, reporting, and managing change risks and resolving issues.
  • Assist in identifying suitable change champions and agents and lead, educate, and mentor them through the change process.
  • Ensure key stakeholders receive a high level of support, remain engaged, and commit to ownership of the change initiative.

About You

Work Experience

  • 5+ years' experience delivering end-to-end change management within Banking, Financial Services, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale technology transformation programs.
  • Strong experience leading all change disciplines including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, business readiness, adoption, and benefits realisation.
  • Experience delivering change for AI, digital transformation, cyber security, regulatory, or operational uplift initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success managing concurrent change initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working within Agile, DevOps, SDLC, and technology delivery environments.
  • Experience driving behavioural change and adoption of technology-enabled ways of working.

Environment

  • Experience working on different kinds of projects with varying complexity (e.g. system, process and organisational design) as well as different timeframes (e.g. short and long-term initiatives).
  • Experience working independently and accountable for end-to-end change engagements.
  • Experience in the financial services sector.
  • Experience working in an agile and iterative business environment.
  • Demonstrated experience creating sophisticated presentations, conducting intermediate data analysis, and producing high-quality documentation using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in Business, Technology, Change Management, Psychology, Organisational Development, or a related discipline.
  • Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent change management certification preferred.

  • Understanding of cyber security change impacts, risk management, compliance requirements, and security uplift programs.
  • Experience supporting regulatory and compliance-driven technology change within highly regulated organisations.
