Are you an experienced Business Advisory Manager or Senior Manager in public practice ready for a new challenge? Join our Inverell team and enjoy exposure to varied and complex portfolios, supporting SME businesses with all things accounting.


You will manage a client portfolio, guiding accountants to deliver exceptional accounting and advisory services. As a senior team member, you will work closely with Partners in Business Advisory and our Workflow Manager to ensure smooth project distribution across the team. You will also play a key role in capacity management, developing team capability, and identifying opportunities to add value for clients across service lines.

Your role, your contribution!

  • Review complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, trusts and a range of individual businesses.

  • Prepare cash flows and monthly management reports for clients.

  • Provide strategic business advice for clients and get involved with commercial advisory projects alongside experienced Partners.

  • Support the governance of client portfolios by assisting in the implementation of a structured Annual Client Review process.

  • Work closely with Adviser Support Managers and Partners to ensure work is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Drive business development efforts, supporting client acquisition and identifying opportunities to add value across all firm service lines.

  • Mentor and coach junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and team performance.

What you will bring to the role

  • 5+ years of public practice experience (Manager level); 6-8+ years for Senior Manager applicants.

  • Achieved CA or CPA qualification.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and support a team.

  • Strong commercial acumen with sound technical accounting and analytical skills.

  • Experience reviewing complex financial statements, tax returns and compliance documentation across varied entity structures.

  • Ability to develop positive relationships with key stakeholders and clients, with a focus on long-term partnership.

  • Strong cloud accounting product knowledge (Xero, MYOB, Excel).

  • Fantastic people skills, an outgoing personality, and a passion for accounting and business advisory services.
