Client Program Manager, Gas
Location: Australia

The Opportunity: Picarro is seeking a Client Program Manager to support our Gas APAC team (remote with expected travel 30-50% of the time.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with regional sales account managers
- Support Sales Directors with expertise and field experience during client’s engagements
- Pre-Sales technical support, presentations, and tradeshows
- Support Business Case development
- Work with sales account managers on RFI and RFP submissions
- Identify potential adoption hurdles, work with broader Gas team for possible solutions
- Pilot or service project management
- Definition of trial objectives in collaboration with Sales and senior management
- Definition of client’s data deliverables with Sales and senior management
- Planning and scheduling of data collecting activity with client
- Planning and scheduling of field work (LISA investigation & Validation)
- Work with operations to organize pilots, demos, and projects (car, system, ATA carnet, hand-held, etc.)
- Work with P-Cubed admin to create the software infrastructure as required for deliverables (Pcubed, ESRI, mobile App, Dashboards)
- Align internal staff & external partners with pilot schedule to ensure timely delivery of results
- Work with GIS team to define GIS data requirements according to objectives and deliverables
- Work with GIS team to create GIS boundary according to objectives, deliverables, and client’s requests, and the GIS upload process into Pcubed
- Pilot/Demo or service project execution & oversight
- Supervision of data collecting activity
- Quality control of driving & driver management
- Kick-Off meeting with client (on-site or remote)
- Keeping client up to date about pilot progress
- Align data deliverables with client’s expectations and operational resources – e.g. PS score, emissions threshold
- Support external partner or execute field operations (LISA investigation) if part of the deliverables
- Generate final data deliverables in collaboration (in collaboration with data analytics team if required)
- Create final presentation in collaboration with Sales and senior management.
MSA Customer Onboarding (6 to 12 months):
- Pre-Deployment Phase:
- Definition of technical requirements with client e.g. vehicle, regulatory
- Definition of staff requirements for client: Driver (night shift), Analyst, investigator, data analyst, GIS expert, project manager
- GIS data requirements according to defined objectives and deliverables
- GIS boundary creation according to objectives, deliverables, and client’s requests
- Oversight of GIS upload process into P-Cubed
- Define best practices and initial objectives that should be achieved within the first few months of deployment
- Organize external resources (e.g. driver, investigator) as required by the client’s operations and business case
- Plan and schedule the hardware installation onsite or at Picarro premises
- Plan customer communication regarding support structure between FAE and PM/Customer
- Deployment Phase (onsite):
- Manage Installation & Testing of the system into the client’s vehicle
- Training of customer resources on the various roles and tasks linked to the car’s operation (driver, analyst, investigator)
- Adoption Phase
- Frequent deployment calls with the client to ensure a successful starting phase and to capture potential issues at an early stage
- Develop level 1 support capabilities at the client (or through an external partner) – training to be provided by FAE team
- Drive early customer strategies, use cases, workflow integration and data consumption/integration needs
- Support case studies and data requirements for Rate Case and PUC discussions
- Deliver customer specific workflow procedures
- Support and deliver data analysis during this phase
- Manage transition of customer support to Field Operations
Client-Scaling Phase (Sales-Farming activities):
- Identify scaling-up opportunities and support sales with KPI & data analytics to support business growth
- Implement Picarro use cases and application playbooks – e.g. Advanced leak survey, super emitter program, measurement-based emissions inventory
- Ensure client’s satisfaction and bring up issues with Sales and senior management
- Ensure data quality meet client’s requirements
- Support client with KPI analysis and dashboards in order to communicate gaps and issues at an early stage
- Support the client to streamline processes and further integration of Picarro into client’s software solution (e.g. SAP)
- Ensure timely remedy of technical issues through internal resources or by developing external partners (training and enabling external engineers for level 2 support by FAE Team)
- Manage customer GIS/Boundary updates
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree a plus) in an engineering field of study
- Required language skills: English and Spanish, full proficiency. This role will also manage customers in Latin America.
- 5+ years of experience in customer facing roles.
- 3+ years of field experience/hands-on practice or knowledge of cutting-edge technologies – electronics, mechanical, optical engineering
- 5+ years of experience handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Prior experience in Natural Gas and Energy markets a plus
- Ability to be a good listener, understanding customer questions and assisting them to find the right solutions.
- Excellent mind mapping skills, laying down complex processes into simple procedures.
- Clean, detailed, and clear documentation practitioner.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Results-oriented team player with a "make it happen" attitude.
- Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to travel to customer sites, conferences, and other outreach activities.
- Demonstrate the necessary skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy.
