Job DescriptionYour Opportunity
We are looking for a Client Project Manager to join our Client Enablement & Product Optimisation Team.
The Client Project Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional client experience through the implementation of Cuscal’s broad suite of solutions. Our Client Project Managers are charged with managing project delivery from contract signing through to go-live and closure of any warranty period ensuring that all reporting, project communications, and overall management activities related to the client implementation are executed to a high standard. Key to this role are the development of structured project budget and delivery plans, timely and accurate status reporting, proactive risk and issue tracking and escalation, stakeholder alignment, and documentation that supports transparency, traceability, and effective decision‑making.
This is a highly visible role and its responsibilities sit across 3 key areas.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as the key point of communication with the client, provide regular reporting on progress, managing customer expectations for deliverables and supporting Client Partnership Management and Business Development Managers to do the same.
- Engage all relevant internal and external stakeholders and ensure transparent communication throughout the project delivery, coordinating dependencies across teams, and holding regular check-ins to ensure timely delivery
- Demonstrate customer and stakeholder management to an exceptional level, managing expectations against deliverables.
- Hold teams accountable to their commitments, working to remove or escalate any roadblocks to their work
- Contribute to presales processes such as proposals and business cases
Delivery Effectiveness
- Ensure end to end delivery of client work from planning through project implementation and closure, focussing on scope definition, resourcing, budget, supplier and client management, risks, issues and operational readiness.
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving to proactively mitigate project risks and roadblocks, while holding teams accountable for their commitments.
- Work with internal and client facing teams to develop project delivery plans based on the scope of work agreed, and aligned with client expectations
- Coordinate across internal teams and stakeholders throughout the project, effectively managing interdependencies, approvals and communication to ensure timely delivery of work.
- Management and escalation of issues and risks in a timely and appropriate manner
Process Management and Improvement
- Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives, implement knowledge sharing and continuous improvement to improve the client implementation and onboarding experience
- Collaborate with the broader Client Enablement and Product Optimisation and other internal teams to drive efficiencies and standardisation of our solutions
Qualifications
What can you bring?
- Formal qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Business, IT or Project Management
- 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager supporting the effective delivery of programs or projects
- Experience and preference for juggling multiple complex projects concurrently
- Strong experience in client and stakeholder management with proven ability in written and verbal communication, influencing outcomes and managing expectations
- Extensive experience in Hybrid project delivery, managing projects through both Waterfall and Agile frameworks.
- Superior written and verbal communication, plus an unwavering commitment to quality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and commitment to excellence
- Proven financial experience to track, monitor and communicate progress of project budgets
- Proven experience in tracking, monitoring and communicating progress of project schedules using MS-Project and Jira
Additional skills that set you apart:
- Experience in the delivery of payments projects in the Cards, New Payments Platform, Mobile, or Financial Crimes space
- Experience delivery projects for State and Federal government agencies
- AgilePM, PMBOK or Prince2 Certification
- Prior experience in a multi-client service environment
