Job Description

Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre is a multi-disciplinary specialist hospital supporting referring veterinarians across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

We offer a genuinely collaborative team environment with access to multiple specialty services and a varied caseload.

And importantly - culture matters here.

We work hard, but we also make sure we enjoy where we work. Expect a supportive team, plenty of humour, and people who actually like working together. We’re looking for someone who not only has the skills, but is also a great fit for our team.

Love helping people, thrive in a busy environment and enjoy being part of a genuinely supportive team?

We're looking for a Casual and Part-Time Client Services Team Member to join our reception team at Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre (MVSC). You'll be one of the first people our clients, referring veterinarians and visitors interact with, making this a vital role within our hospital.

What's on offer

  • Casual or Part-Time role (3 - 4 days per week)
  • Above award salary
  • No public holidays
  • Glen Waverley & Essendon Fields locations
  • Some Saturday shifts
  • Supportive team culture
  • Interesting and varied caseload
  • Professional development opportunities

About the role

This is a busy and rewarding client services role within a multi-disciplinary specialist veterinary hospital.

Based primarily at our Glen Waverley hospital, you'll also work fortnightly shifts at our Essendon Fields clinic and participate in a rotating Saturday roster.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming clients and visitors
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Managing a busy phone system
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Email communication with clients and referring clinics
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Processing payments
  • General reception and administrative duties

About you

  • Previous reception, administration or customer service experience
  • Veterinary or healthcare experience highly regarded
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Compassionate and professional approach to clients
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident using computer systems
  • Able to work across both locations
  • Available for occasional Saturday shifts
  • Positive, team-focused attitude

If you enjoy building relationships, providing exceptional service and being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
