Overview

Are you passionate about cloud infrastructure, energized by complex technical challenges, and excited to help customers modernize in the AI era? Join Microsoft as a Solution Engineer - Cloud & AI Infrastructure, focused on the Azure Platform for Public Sector customers in Australia.

In this technical sales role, you will help customers design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures that advance their modernization and innovation goals. You will use Azure IaaS, PaaS, hybrid cloud, and AI-enabled infrastructure capabilities to guide organizations through migration, modernization, optimization, and transformation, translating technical possibilities into measurable business outcomes.

In this role, you will work directly with technical and business decision makers to architect solutions for business-critical applications and AI workloads. You will bring deep expertise in migrating and modernizing core workloads, including Windows Server, SQL Server, Linux, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and enterprise applications on Azure.

Beyond migration, you will help customers apply modernization strategies such as the 6Rs, containerization, and Azure-native services including Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Arc, and Azure VMware Solution. You will also explore how AI and intelligent agents can accelerate legacy transformation, improve operational efficiency, and unlock new value from cloud investments. This role requires strong knowledge of hybrid and cloud-native networking, including virtual networks, VPNs, secure routing, connectivity patterns, and performance optimization. You will also collaborate with Microsoft partners and ecosystem solutions such as NetApp, VMware, Red Hat, SAP, Oracle, and Nutanix to deliver secure, optimized, and scalable migration and modernization outcomes.

As part of Microsoft, you will have access to world-class learning resources and support for industry-recognized certifications across Azure infrastructure, security, networking, and AI. With your knowledge of Azure security services and compliance frameworks, you will help customers meet regulatory requirements while building cloud environments ready for the future.
