About The Role
As Cloud Engineer, you will be asked to:
Design, document and implement various cloud projects for existing and/or new customers
Provide proactive support to ensure the customer’s environment is running smoothly and assist in resolving issues by adhering to customer SLAs
Identify and troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services, ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on business operations.
Document incidents, resolutions, and best practices to build a knowledge base and facilitate continuous improvement.
Raise required changes and prepare for change approval as per customer request
Proactively maintain the customer environment from a monitoring, backup and patching perspective
Assist with project implementation, updating as-built and design documentation
Monitor the health and performance of cloud infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, security and PaaS services
Collaborate with internal team and client to address technical issues and requirements
Stay up to date on the latest Microsoft Azure features, updates, and best practices to serve as a subject matter expert to clients and internal teams.
Engage and support other team members by learning new technologies and skills.
This role requires some on-call shifts on a distributed roster, you must be flexible in your availabiltiy.
About You
As an experienced Cloud Engineer, you will ideally bring Azure (or AWS or GCP) certifications, as well as:
Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining large cloud environments
Experience in managing and troubleshooting Azure Virtual Machines, cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and Azure Storage
Experience in managing and troubleshooting App Services, Azure App Gateways, AKS, ACR and ACI
Experience in managing and troubleshooting Azure Front Door, Traffic Manager, and Managed DB services
Experience in managing and troubleshooting Azure firewall, Defender for Cloud, Advisor, and well-architected framework
Fluency in writing PowerShell scripts and KQL queries
Knowledge of IaC such as Terraform
Linux skills desirable
Strong commercial acumen to identify and develop leads, partnering with the Sales team
Ability to articulate desired state outcomes for clients and the ROI delivered through engagements
Collaborative, team-focused and outcome driven approach, with an ongoing emphasis on learning and continuous improvement
Experience migrating on-premises workload to Azure
