WHAT YOU’LL DO

Optiver's Infrastructure Team is looking for cloud infrastructure engineers with experience in building & supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure & services at scale. These infrastructure & services are used across our trading, research & engineering teams, most critically by our Trading teams as part of their data analysis pipelines.  As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will collaborate closely with both our development & the infrastructure team to continuously evolve our infrastructure to meet the business' growing needs.

  • Collaborate with our engineering teams & other stakeholders in identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Design, build & support re-usable components of software & infrastructure for our cloud environments.

  • Deliver build & release pipeline for software services & infrastructure in the cloud.

  • Use infrastructure as code (terraform or equivalent) & config management to build & manage environments.

  • Continuously review & manage risks associated with our cloud environments.

  • Manage capacity planning of our growing AWS footprint.

  • Troubleshoot OS (Linux), storage, and network issues associated with the cloud infrastructure.


WHO YOU ARE

  • A strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, architecture, infrastructure & automation tools.

  • Experience in troubleshooting & resolving complex technical issues in a rapidly growing environment.

  • Collaborative skills to work effectively with other team members and stakeholders. 

  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical & non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to gauge business problems and prioritize tasks accordingly.
