About the Role
As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you’ll support the organisation as workloads and end-user services continue to shift to cloud-based solutions aligned to Microsoft Azure and selected SaaS platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
Day-to-day administration of Linux and Windows servers in Microsoft Azure
Designing and delivering cloud solutions aligned to Perpetual’s service architectures, standards and best practices
Contributing to cloud strategy, infrastructure patterns and policies in line with security requirements
Developing automation and orchestration capabilities, supporting DevOps practices (ARM, Bicep)
Building and maintaining Azure Resource Manager templates and other deployment artefacts
Supporting cloud projects to ensure solutions align with agreed frameworks and roadmaps
Maintaining cloud services and platforms, including automation components, repositories and system documentation
Providing L2/L3 support, including participation in an on-call roster for critical systems and major incidents
Working closely with internal teams, cloud service providers and vendors
About you
You’re an experienced cloud engineer who enjoys balancing hands-on technical work with platform improvement and collaboration.
We are looking for someone with:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
At least 7 years’ experience in IT roles, including 3+ years in a senior cloud or platform engineering role
Strong experience designing, building and operating solutions in Microsoft Azure
Solid background across Windows and Linux server environments
Experience with DevOps and infrastructure-as-code practices (ARM, Bicep)
Strong knowledge of cloud security, monitoring and infrastructure tooling
Programming experience in PowerShell and/or Python
Broad technical knowledge across applications, databases, operating systems, storage, backups and cloud services
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Azure and other relevant infrastructure certifications (highly regarded)
