Job Summary

As a Cloud Security - Technology Product Owner, you are an expert in cloud security, engineering, and cyber risk management, applying your extensive technical knowledge alongside strong product ownership capabilities to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions.
You are responsible for defining and driving the cloud security product strategy, prioritising backlog, and ensuring delivery of security capabilities that protect enterprise platforms. You partner closely with engineering, platform, and security teams to embed security into cloud-native architectures and DevSecOps practices.
You play a pivotal role in shaping cloud security capabilities, acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders while ensuring alignment to business priorities, risk appetite, and strategic outcomes.Job Description

What You’ll Do

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Define and own the cloud security product vision, roadmap, and backlog aligned to enterprise security strategy and business priorities.

  • Prioritise and manage security initiatives, balancing risk, value, and delivery timelines

  • Act as the primary point of accountability for cloud security product outcomes, ensuring measurable value delivery

  • Engage with stakeholders across security, engineering, and business units to align on priorities and roadmap

Cloud Security Engineering & Delivery

  • Design and implement security controls across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) aligned to enterprise architecture and standards

  • Embed security into cloud-native environments including containers (Kubernetes), microservices, and serverless platforms

  • Partner with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and enable DevSecOps practices

  • Lead security design reviews and provide technical guidance across infrastructure, platform, and application layers

  • Drive adoption of security-as-code using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)

Risk, Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support threat modelling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management across cloud environments

  • Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and regulatory frameworks

  • Support audit, assurance, and continuous control validation across cloud platforms

  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, driving root cause analysis and improvement actions

  • Continuously evaluate emerging cloud security technologies and uplift security posture

Leadership & Ways of Working

  • Lead prioritisation and execution in an Agile environment, working closely with squads and platform teams

  • Provide coaching and technical guidance to engineers and junior team members

  • Drive a culture of secure-by-design, continuous improvement, and automation

  • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor across cloud security and product domains

About You

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

  • Deep understanding of cloud security architecture and controls

  • Proven experience in Product Ownership / backlog management / Agile delivery

  • Experience embedding security into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines

  • Knowledge of container and Kubernetes security

  • Hands-on experience with cloud security posture management platforms such as Wiz (or similar CSPM tools)

  • Experience with in IAM, Zero Trust, encryption, and secrets management

  • Experience with security tools (SIEM, CSPM, CWPP)

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, CIS)

  • Experience working in large enterprise / telco environments

  • Knowledge of cloud-native security tooling and runtime protection

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience in Cyber Security / Cloud Security / Network Security

  • Proven experience delivering cloud security capabilities in complex environments

  • Experience in Agile / Product Ownership roles

  • Relevant certifications (Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP) preferred
