Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Generation: Achieve / exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas through new business acquisition and upselling to existing clients.

  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage complex sales processes from prospecting, qualifying leads, and conducting demos to negotiating contracts and closing deals.

  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders, including C-level executives.

  • Strategic Planning: Create and implement territory plans and account strategies to identify growth opportunities within the commercial/mid-market domain.

  • Collaboration: Work with internal cross-functional teams (sales engineering, customer success, marketing) to ensure successful client onboarding and solution adoption.

  • Product Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of Kong's products, services, and the competitive landscape to deliver tailored solutions to prospects and customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in B2B sales, typically 2-5+ years, preferably within high-growth SaaS or IT environments.

  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Tools: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools.

  • Familiar with the MEDDICC / MEDPICC sales methodology preferred.
