Job DescriptionThe Technology Portfolio Analyst plays a key role within the Strategy and Planning team of the Technology Business Unit, driving process optimization, managing offshoring opportunities, and overseeing technology reporting. This position is responsible for the effective management of Technology cost centers, including accounts processing, expenditure tracking against forecasts and budgets, and delivering monthly reports on FTE, EDP, and financial metrics.
Success in this role requires strong collaboration across Technology, Sourcing, Legal, Finance, and other business units, as well as with partners and third parties. By fostering strategic partnerships and ensuring operational excellence, the Technology Portfolio Analyst supports the delivery of critical initiatives that enhance efficiency and align with organizational goals.
In this role you will:
- Identify and support implementation of process improvements to streamline month-end procedures, enhance system efficiencies and operational excellence.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and metric tracking at month-end.
- Monitor and provide budget insights, supporting financial planning, resources profile and reporting.
- Oversee invoices processing, monthly receipt accruals, and maintain relevant purchase orders and contract register and reports
- Manage Technology procurement and contract management, collaborating with relevant stakeholders
- Manage platform risks, issues, actions, dependencies, and decisions related contract and resource management.
- Administer key internal toolsets (PeopleSoft, DocuSign, and Tempus) in line with TAL policies.
- Strong ability to prioritise and delivery results in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Sound financial acumen to support Technology owners.
- Experience managing procurement and contract processes.
- High proficiency in Excel or analytical software to support Tech reporting needs.
- Desirable: Tertiary qualifications and experience in Financial, Insurance, or Life Insurance industries.
