Your opportunity

We’re looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our team in North Ryde. In this role, you’ll not only analyse complex data but turn it into clear, actionable insights that help our senior leaders make important strategic decisions. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across the business every day, becoming a trusted commercial partner who provides guidance, challenge, and recommendations. You’ll also design and maintain reporting frameworks that integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring leaders always have accurate, timely information to support confident decision‑making. This is a highly visible role with real impact on the direction of our business.

Your key main responsibility will be:

  • Lead the development and execution of analysis projects, providing strategic insights for business growth and order intake performance.

  • Contributes to the design and maintenance of advanced reporting frameworks, ensuring integration of diverse data sources to support strategic decision-making processes with high accuracy.

  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve forecasting through data analysis.

  • Designs and monitors a robust framework for key performance indicators (KPIs), providing detailed and timely reports that support strategic performance enhancement initiatives.

  • Evaluates and provides strategic recommendations based on thorough market analysis, competitive intelligence, and alignment with long-term business objectives.

  • Applies specialized knowledge to diverse team projects, ensuring effective solutions and innovative approaches to complex challenges.

  • Build effective relationships with internal and external partners, providing influence over projects and peer groups by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the area of specialization.
    You’re the right fit if

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Analytics or related with at least 5 + Years in a similar role within a heavily regulated commercial environment.

  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights and excellent analytical and presentation/communication skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel; exposure to Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI, SAP and Salesforce.

  • Resourceful, curious and digitally minded – able to prioritise competing demands, creative problem solving and perform in a fast-paced environment.

  • Delivers automated, insight‑rich dashboards that improve visibility to enable faster, higher‑quality commercial decisions as well as building credibility as a trusted commercial partner.

  • Able to balance competing priorities, deliver to both short and long-term projects, and ad hoc requirements.

  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience managing deliverables across different teams.
